Christian Journeys in the Third Millennium

IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF OUR LORD

Follow in the footsteps of Jesus in Jerusalem and Galilee. In Jerusalem visit the Temple Mount, a place of prayer for over 3,000 years and follow Jesus' footsteps along the Way of the Cross to visit the Garden Tomb and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. In Galilee visit Nazareth, the town where Jesus grew up, and Capernaum, the fishing village which became the centre of His Galilean ministry.

BY SEA WITH ST PAUL TO LYCIA AND EPHESUS

As the Gospel of Jesus Christ began to spread St Paul took the Word to Asia Minor, where there were some of the most influential cities of the Roman world. He sailed the coasts of Asia Minor, modern day Turkey, no fewer than three times during his journeys and visited many of the cities there. The scenery has changed little over the last two thousand years, and to sail these seas and visit the sites Paul visited is to experience the ambience of those heady days of the beginning of our faith. We can follow in the wake of the great Apostle.

A VISIT TO THE ETERNAL CITY

Visit Rome, the Eternal City, and the Vatican, with its splendid museum and the Sistine Chapel. Also see the Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Catacombs of the Appian Way. The churches are a roll call of all the most celebrated places of worship - Saint Gegorio Magno, St Onofrio and St Clemente - as well as St Peter’s and the Basilica of St Paul, the places where the two saints died. The highlight of the visit will be a Papal Audience before continuing to Assisi and the Basilica of St Francis.

THE CHRISTIAN WAY

Our journey will be one of prayer and reflection, with good companions on the way. There will be times of quiet contemplation, bustling activity and great fun. All this will play an important part in the continued strengthening of our faith.
