FOLLOW THE EXODUS FROM THE NILE TO THE
JORDAN
We follow the route Moses took, leading his people out of
slavery under Pharaoh in Egypt, across the Red Sea and through
the rock desert of the Sinai peninsula to the Jordan River.
Like their journey, ours too will be a journey of faith and of
discovery.
WONDERS OF THE WORLD
We begin with the Pyramids and the Sphinx, old even when
Moses and his people were in Egypt, enduring monuments to the
ancient cultures of the Nile. The Cairo Museum, where the
splendours of ancient Egypt are displayed, gives a dramatic
image of the life and times of the Pharaohs
THE AGELESS RIVER
A cruise down the Nile from Aswan to Luxor, with its
temples, tombs and towns adds vivid pictures of Egypt at the
time of Moses. The timeless river and the fields along its
banks have changed little over the millennia.
MOUNT SINAI & THE BANKS OF THE JORDAN
Among the spectacular scenery of Mount
Sinai Moses received the Ten Commandments. At its foot is St
Catherine's Monastery. Travel to the Rose Red City of Petra
and up the King's Highway. Here is Mount Nebo where Moses saw
the Promised Land. And we descend to the Jordan to the place
of Jesus' baptism, where archaeologists have identified the
exact spot. We are reminded of our common call to the
Christian pilgrimage of faith.
